Slido announces that the company has appointed Abi Cannons to the newly created role of Community Manager as part of its continued expansion in the UK and globally. Focusing on building Slido’s user community and developing the company’s marketing strategy, Abi will be based in London with responsibility across the UK.
Abi Cannons joins Slido from Reed Exhibitions where she held the role of Education Content Executive for the IBTM portfolio, working in Europe, China, the Middle East, USA and Australia. Abi brings over eight years’ experience in organising conferences and seminars across the world.
Commenting on her appointment, Abi says: “I’m super excited about my new role with Slido and can’t wait to get started with our first ever client event planned for 23rd June. It’s a privilege to join such a great team with such a beautifully simple product that really does change how people engage and learn.”

Slido recently celebrated its four-year anniversary, with almost a half million questions asked and one million poll votes sent via Slido across almost 100 countries since the company set up in 2012.
